Tom Pille

Construction Director

Tom earned a master’s degree in architecture from the University of Nebraska and stayed in Omaha for eight years to practice his trade afterward. As part of this role, he learned the ins and outs of being a construction administrator. This experience served Tom well when his wife was offered a job in Kansas City, the couple moved, and Tom went to work for Dan Webster at Extraordinary Homes. He initially served as the principal architect, but then served as the firm’s detailer, estimator, and builder.

After five years, Tom became the operations manager for Cicada Company, where he oversaw the planning, budgeting, and execution of various construction projects for three and a half years. Tom joined the Kala team as a project manager, helping to oversee construction managers, estimate new builds and retrofits, and much more.

When he’s not working, Tom loves spending time with his six-year-old daughter. When asked what being generous means to him, Tom said, “Giving everything you have, whether that’s your belongings or giving more of yourself to your job, your family, and your kids. Being generous is about sharing your talents with everyone else.”
