Sarah Hattaway

At Kala, we like to think that while we’re serious about what we do, we also bring a playful side to high-performance building. That’s why Sarah Hattaway’s background and personality make her the perfect fit as our office assistant. She worked for Brookside Toy & Science, which has provided Kansas City kids with classic and contemporary fun since 1964. Then Sarah used this experience to serve FAO Schwartz at their Plaza location, traveled with them, and helped open their Union Station store. 

Sarah worked her way up from a sales position to overseeing ordering and management. As well as bringing joy to children and their parents as she learned and loved every side of the toy business, she also started supporting local athletes through the Kansas City Running Club. This role showcased Sarah’s versatility, as she managed the newsletter and websites, oversaw event promotion, and helped fundraise for runners trying to make the US Olympic team. When she’s not working, Sarah enjoys hanging out with her husband and three children.
