Carrie Norris

Production Coordinator

After graduating from the University of Arizona with a degree in film, Carrie Norris joined the legendary Jim Henson Company, creators of The Muppets, Fraggle Rock, and Labyrinth. She served as the personal assistant to Lisa Henson, working in a studio once used to film Charlie Chaplin comedies.

Carrie saw how the Hensons created creatures in puppet form and then gained experience working with real-life animals. We’re no strangers to dogs in the Kala office, but Carrie’s canine knowledge is something else. After leaving Hollywood, she ran the second largest dog boarding company in the country.

When the Olathe-based business was bought out, Carrie went to work for the Great Plains SPCA as the director of operations. Dealing with pets that had been ill-treated was too emotionally draining, so she changed course, helping companies create customized products for events, trade shows, and giveaways at Scoby Bros.

These diverse experiences made Carrie the perfect fit for our production coordinator role.
